It looks like we will be here in Georgetown for awhile. .. at least until next Wed. probably. Then hopefully we can move on to Long Island. The weather is as Phil puts it, "Up in the air". Trough may be here Tuesday or Wednesday now.
Phil made a rum run to town this morning and got asked to fix the Exumas Market's trash compactor. Not quite sure how that happened, it just does with Phil! I'm sure he'll barter something out of it.
Phil went hand line fishing this afternoon and caught a bunch of saucer-eye Porgis, some yellowtail snappers and 1 hog fish which was to small so he threw it back.
Guess what we are having for dinner!
We have seen more turtles here then anything else! They are all around the boat, in the lagoons, in fact they are everywhere! I think I'm hearing porpoise (which by the way we haven't seen one yet since entering the Bahamas. ..strange) and it turns out to be a turtle!
We just had a young man come to us by dinghy who has been traveling the world for the last couple of years and is trying to get back to the states. He is in the sailboat next to us. They came up from St. Martin! They have decided to stay awhile and he wants to get home. I heard him on the radio earlier. Nice kid....wish him luck!
The Harbour is starting to fill up....There are 19 boats anchored around us now with more to come I'm sure.
