Jason and Jaden went fishing and caught yellowtail snapper, Margate, and one grouper. We took "the boys" to the pig roast at Chat n Chill for Father's Day. It was a busy place! We ordered the conch salad for Kirk and Jason and of course fed the stingrays. Took the conchs that Jason and Jaden found to the conch boys to clean. That's a wonderful thing!! We also snorkeled the blue hole and fed the fish....Jaden wants to go back there!!
Back at the boat Phil put a line out to see what he could catch. Before too long the reel started screaming. ..then this fish started jumping and spinning!! It was a spinner shark! It took Jason around the boat a couple of times!!! It wore him out!
It was a night of Farkle ( Jaden was King!!) and a night of watching stars... we all saw shooting stars and made our wishes. Jaden's wish was for unlimited bacon!!!! We all watched a movie and went to sleep... at about midnight Kirk wakes Phil up saying he heard the reel screaming again.....
Phil had left a lightwieght spinner rod line out. Sooooo at midnight Phil, Kirk, and Jason (rod in hand) were following this fish around the boat with flashlights! They pulled it in enough to see what it was....A 30 lb Yellowtail Jack!! It gave Jason quite a fight for a 2nd time in one day!!! Oh well.
