I have found my favorite new place, it's called "The Dolphin House"! It is like nothing I have ever seen and if you ever get the privilege to come to Bimini it is a must see! An older gentleman named Ashley took a very old building from the 1800's and has turned it into something amazing. People give him things and he recycles things and incorporates them into the house. We gave him a mermaid! Can't wait to see where he puts it. He is also the Historian for Bimini! He has written 2 books on the history of Bimini. There is a small museum to see, but his artwork is what really is incredible!
We got our coconut bread and conch salad today...yummmm! We also looked at the weather and it's not looking good for the next 7 days! A cold front is coming through and the wind is going to cycle all around at 20 knots. We kinda want our 1st anchoring in the Bahamas to be a good experience so I think we have decided to stick it out here. We might change Marina's seeing has this one is $2.50 a foot plus $20.00 for electricity! We found another Marina for $1.50 a foot and if we are staying here till Thursday or Friday for sure that makes a big difference!! This isn't a bad place to be stuck!
We got the "Dink" down this afternoon and went all the way around South Bimini. We saw some huge stingrays!!! All is good in the Bahamas mon!
